The national federation for the Business & Professional Women of Jordan was established in 1976 with the following objectives:

Develop the interests of Business and Professional women.

Support and enhance the status of women in business.

Encouraging women to be responsible towards the community on a national, regional and international level.

Encouraging women to pursue their education and training so as to become effective professional members of the society.

Working towards:

Providing equal opportunities for women with their economical, civil and political rights

Rooting out every kind of political discrimination prevalent against women.

Enhancing co-operation and friendship between professional women in national, regional and international clubs and associations.

Collaboration between all associations and clubs that share the same objectives as the Federation, especially in their amalgamation with the federation whenever possible.

The federation acts as a central administrative body for the various clubs located in all the major cities of Jordan, including Amman, Irbid, Aqaba, Zarqa and Madaba. As Amman is the political and economical capital of the country, the BPWA Amman club has donned the mantle of the big sister with respect to the other clubs.
